WEEK 2
Becoming Like Christ
Say, “Continue this activity in the week ahead. Once you finish, review your chart and ask
yourself, ‘Based on our activities and schedule, what or who is contributing to my
discipleship? My family’s discipleship? My child’s discipleship?’
Ask for God’s wisdom and discernment in the weeks ahead about the changes that need to
be made in your own life and in the lives of those you can influence.”
Closing Prayer
Thank God for the ongoing process of discipleship.
Ask for wisdom and discernment in the week ahead as group members identify the
positive and negative influences on their lives and lives of others.
Thank God for His work of transformation in our lives that comes from the process of
discipleship.
Remind participants to read Chapter 2 in preparation for the next session. The next chapter
will look at seven stages of development in childhood (ages 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 1112).
Optional: Ask each participant to be prepared to briefly summarize what they’ve learned
about a specific age group during the next week’s session.
