WEEK 3
The Discipleship Map
Reflect on that statement and consider these questions:
Am I providing a good example to my child of what it means to be a disciple?
Am I maturing in my beliefs? If not, what can I do to mature?
Am I deepening in my understandings? If not, how can I deepen?
Am I growing in my commitment to Christ? If not, how can I grow in my commitment?
Say, “No matter where any of us are on this discipleship journey or where our children are
on the discipleship map, we all have the opportunity each and every day to ‘deny ourselves’
by proclaiming Jesus as Lord, ‘take up our cross’ by submitting our will to the will of God,
and ‘follow Jesus.’” (Luke 9:23)
Closing Prayer
Thank God for the ongoing process of discipleship and His continuous work in our lives.
Ask for wisdom and discernment as each member seeks to better understand the
children in their lives and how to disciple them toward Christ.
Pray that God would encourage each member as they continue to grow in their beliefs,
understandings, and commitments.
Thank God for his work of transformation in our lives and in the lives of the children who
are being discipled.
