Studying God’s Word
DISCUSS AND REFLECT
Ask each member to identify one step they can take in the coming week in studying the
Scriptures for their own growth.
For those who earlier expressed fear over teaching their children the Word of God,
encourage them to take steps to help alleviate those fears.
Ask each member to identify one step they can take in the coming week as a family or
with an individual child to further equip them in growing in their knowledge of God’s
Word.
Say, “May spending time with kids studying God’s Word encourage you as their discoveries
and questions draw you to deeper study. Both you and your children will benefit from this
work.”
Closing Prayer
Thank God for His Word, which teaches, rebukes, corrects, and trains in righteousness.
Ask that God would encourage each member as they study His Word and encourage
the children in their lives to study it as well.
Thank God for His work of transformation in your life and the lives of children through
the process of discipleship.
